The Professionals In Human Resources Association (PIHRA) is dedicated to the continuous enhancement of human resources through networking, learning, and advocacy. We serve the human resources professionals with 16 locations in the counties of Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Ventura. As the largest affiliate of SHRM (Society for Human Resources Management), PIHRA represents more than 4,000 individual members from over 2,600 organizations.

1. Must be a freshman, sophomore, junior, senior, or graduate student in an accredited college or university. 2. Enrolled in a minimum of 8 units under the quarter system, or 6 units at an under the semester system. 3. Academic course work must have a Human Resources emphasis or be closely related. 4. Unemployed or working 20 hours or less per week, not receiving benefits. 5. Proof of Eligibility: a. Submit current class schedule. b. Signed Faculty approval form. 6. Payment of $30 for Student Membership.

Applying for a PIHRA Student Membership
Professional memberships cost $150 for 12 months (including the month that you join); with renewals for current memberships are $125 annually. Students only have to pay $30 for the same deal!
In order to obtain a PIHRA student membership through our chapter:
Select the membership plan with the option of the PIHRA student membership.
Download the PIHRA Application HERE or on the "Membership" page.
Complete the PIHRA Student Membership Application. (Note: Our preferred district is #15.)
Obtain a screenshot of your class schedule.
Attach your payment of $30 with your PIHRA Application.
Submit your application, class schedule, and $30 to the Membership Coordinator. *You may submit the application and class schedule through e-mail. However, please keep in mind your student membership will not be processed until you have paid your membership dues.
After you submitted your completed application, you will obtain your student membership account information from PIHRA Central by mail and by e-mail (email@example.com). According to PIHRA's membership policy, membership is non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid for one year from the date of its creation. If you would like to renew your student membership, you are required to go through the application process again.
