Originally founded in 1944 as the Personnel and Industrial Relations Association (PIRA) by a small group of Los Angeles personnel administrators, PIHRA has grown to serve seventeen professional chapters, nine student chapters and three specialty groups. PIHRA has a dedicated staff and is headquartered in Gardena, CA.

Applying for a PIHRA Student Membership
Although professional memberships typically cost $150 for 12 months, students only have to pay $30 for the same deal!
In order to obtain a PIHRA student membership through our chapter:
Complete the PIHRA Student Membership Application found on the right side of this page. (Note: Our preferred district is #15.)
Obtain a screenshot of your class schedule.
Attach your payment of $30 with your PIHRA Application.
Submit your application, class schedule, and $30 to the Membership Coordinator. *You may submit the application and class schedule through e-mail. However, please keep in mind your student membership will not be processed until you have paid your membership dues.
After you submitted your completed application, you will obtain your student membership account information from PIHRA Central by mail and by e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). According to PIHRA's membership policy, membership is non-transferable, non-refundable, and valid for one year from the date of its creation. If you would like to renew your student membership, you are required to go through the application process again.
