Student Membership Eligibility Requirements

1. Cost: $49 per year.
2. You are currently enrolled in a degree-seeking program. Students shall provide proof of enrollment in a college or university to qualify for student membership.
3. Students holding any form of a current SHRM professional, associate, retired, global, or general membership are NOT ELIGIBLE to convert to student membership until their next renewal cycle. 
4. Your coursework, taken or planned, supports an interest in Human Resource Management or related degree program (not a Certificate program).
5. Acceptable degree programs include: Human Resource Management, Human Resource Development, Business Administration & Management, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Labor Relations, MBA, MBA/HR, or Organizational Behavior/ Organizational Development.

Applying for a SHRM Student Membership

SHRM Student Membership costs $49 per year. If you would like to renew your student membership, you are required to go through the application process again.

In order to obtain a SHRM student membership through our chapter

1. Navigate to this website: https://www.shrm.org/membership/student-resources/pages/student-membership.aspx 
2. Select the membership plan with the option of the SHRM student membership.
3. Complete the steps. (Note: Our student chapter number is #5498.)
4. Receive your membership confirmation receipt by e-mail.
5. Forward your confirmation receipt to calpolypihra.membership@gmail.com

The SHRM Student Membership is valid for one year from the date of its creation. If you would like to renew your student membership, go to https://www.shrm.org/membership/student-resources/pages/student-membership.aspx and go through the process again.
